ADFS Receives MIPS Program Award
American Dynamics Flight Systems (ADFS) has been awarded $135,021 in research project funding from the Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS) program. ADFS is partnering with the University of Maryland, Clark School of Engineering, Department of Aerospace Engineering to develop a flight dynamics model and 6 degrees of freedom (6DOF) simulation model of the AD-150 unmanned aircraft. The project will include wind tunnel analysis of the AD-150 at the Glenn L. Martin Wind Tunnel.
“This project represents a key milestone in the development of the AD-150 unmanned aircraft and will enable the development of the vehicle's autonomous flight control system,” said Paul Vasilescu, Chief Technology Officer of American Dynamics Flight Systems. He continued, “We are pleased to receive this award and look forward to working with the University of Maryland on the collaborative research.”
The AD-150 is ADFS' next generation high-speed vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft system (UAS) developed around US Marine Corps. Tier III VUAS requirements.

American Dynamics Flight Systems To Attend the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International Show in San Diego
American Dynamics Flight Systems Inc., an advanced technology development company focused on the development of innovative aerospace and defense systems, will be exhibiting during the AUVSI Show in San Diego from 10-12 June.
AFDS will be showcasing the AD-150, a VTOL UAV with high speed capabilities that is being developed at its Jessup, Maryland facility.

ADFS Selected to Exhibit at the Farnborough Airshow
American Dynamics Flight Systems has been selected by the State of Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development to exhibit in their tent at the Farnborough Airshow in July. ADFS will be showcasing its VTOL UAV the AD-150. “This is a chance to show the European marketplace what a wonderful product we have.” said Wayne Morse, President of ADFS. “We are extremely grateful to the state and the DBED for this opportunity.”
The Farnborough Airshow which is located in Farnborough, United Kingdom occurs every other year from July 10-21 and is known as the largest airshow in the world.
Around 1,500 exhibiting companies from 35 countries attend the show.
Farnborough 2006 trade week accumulated US$42 billion worth of orders.
In 2006, 270,000 visitors attended over 7 days: 140,000 trade visitors from Monday to Friday, and 130,000 members of the public at the weekend.

ADFS has moved it's operation from it's Calverton New York facility to our new facility in Jessup, Maryland. “This move will allow ADFS to be more responsive to our customers, enhance the quality of life of our employees and let us tap into the talented labor pool that Maryland has to offer”, said Wayne Morse, President and CEO of ADFS. Wayne also said, “ Once we talked to the state and heard what they had to offer, and the partnerships that can be developed here, it made my decision very easy.”

American Dynamics Flight Systems undertakes a change in leadership
American Dynamics Flight Systems is pleased to announce that Wayne Morse has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of American Dynamics Flight Systems, Inc. Wayne has been involved in the military for over 30 years and has most recently held a senior management position at General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products. He has worked at the Pentagon where he served as a strategic communications analyst and just recently retired from the U.S. Army Reserve with over 27 years of service. Wayne has been deployed to Bosnia, Kuwait and Iraq during Operation Desert Storm. Wayne has the skills and leadership ability to take ADFS to the next level.
Also, Paul Vasilescu has been named Director of Technology Development and will report to Wayne.
